Every member on our team has their own stories, passions, and experiences which have all brought them to the same place, private events. All though they are all completely different, they have one thing in common; to help plan, manage, and create the best event for you. Briana Van Over - Director

After spending her teen years working in the tourist industry in Lake Chelan, Washington, Briana graduated from the University of Puget Sound with an honors degree in business leadership. After college, Briana pursued her love of travel. Each year, a different part of world called her to experience all types of cuisine, customs and culture.  Briana joined the Wild Ginger team as a server in 2010. Being a banquet and event’s server were always her favorite shifts, and in 2013 she joined the Private Event’s team at Wild Ginger and the Triple Door. In this position, she could practice her passion for creating customized experiences for her clientele. She is committed to this effort, and will work to make this happen for every guest, every time.
 
My favorite type of music is: While my playlists are filled with top 40, I enjoy all music. One of my favorite things about being able to work with the Triple Door, is being exposed to all different types of music, all the time.
 
The one thing you need to know about Wild Ginger or The Triple Door: We can completely customize our menu, and our spaces, to each group. Our Family Style service adds the something special to social, and even work, events.
 
My favorite work moment: I love arriving on site for a catered event, and building the kitchen. Seeing someone’s surprise when we show up with a wok to set up, and their excitement with the final product, is my favorite part.

Meghan Young - Sales Manager
 
Meghan, an avid outdoors(wo)man and a born and bred Washingtonian, grew up with a passion for delicious food and fantastic music. After graduating from Whitman College with a B.A. in Psychology, she moved to Seoul, South Korea to work as an English teacher. While there, she traveled as much as possible, eating her way through parts of SE Asia. The wealth and breadth of different cuisines there have always stuck with her, making her right at home at Wild Ginger! Upon returning to the Seattle area, she entered and graduated from Seattle University with her Juris Doctor degree and shortly thereafter, joined the team at Wild Ginger/The Triple Door.
 
My favorite childhood memory: Sharing and preparing food has always been a central part of my family life. When I was little, I would go fishing with my dad and uncles. They taught me how to properly cast a line and always brought along a cast iron pan with a few simple ingredients: butter, mushrooms, onions, salt, pepper and garlic. If we caught any fish worth eating, they would sear them in the pan and serve them piping hot and delicious. I always remember the wildness and freedom of those days with a huge smile on my face!

The one thing you need to know about Wild Ginger or The Triple Door: The Triple Door offers live music in the Musicquarium lounge virtually every night of the week! It’s a great way to discover new, mostly local bands and I love hearing the sheer, raw talent of the folks who come through!
 
My favorite work moment: I had the opportunity to meet Jane Lynch while she was playing a multi-night run on our mainstage theater at The Triple Door. She proved to be as warm and witty in person as I imagined her to be and I had a blast hanging out with her for a bit after one of her shows!

Hannah Courtellis - Sales Manager

Hannah is the oldest of 10 children, meaning she’s been planning events for most of her life. She graduated from the University of Florida in 2002 with a degree in computer science. After graduating, she spent a few years in West Palm Beach where she was a Realtor at Palm Beach Landmark Properties. In 2008, she made the move to Los Angeles to become the Catering Manager for one of L.A.’s hottest restaurants where she catered extravagant events for some of Hollywood’s most famous celebrities. In 2010, she took a position back in Florida as Bar Operations Manager at the Four Star, Four Diamond hotel, The Peabody Orlando. Here she was responsible for opening Rocks, a premiere ultra-lounge, which was the center of the expansion. These career experiences motivated her to finally pursue her dream of opening an event planning company, AFA Event Planning, with her sister. Now a resident of Seattle, Hannah is continuing her career in event planning and group sales at Wild Ginger and The Triple Door and is fully embracing the outdoor living that Seattle has to offer with her family!
 
My favorite dish at Wild Ginger is: Black Pepper Scallops because they are seasoned perfectly and pairs well with a delicious wine.
 
The one thing you need to know about Wild Ginger or The Triple Door: We are one of the two restaurants in Seattle that have won the Wine Spectator Grand Award for the past seven years.
 
The most fun event I’ve ever planned: The most fun event I planned was a huge block party in Downtown Orlando called Pine Street Rock and Stroll benefiting New Hope for Kids. We set up a stage to showcase local talent and lined the streets with tents filled with food vendors and local businesses. It was an exciting evening that gave back to our community.
