John Duval Dinner and his iconic Syrahs
Monday, September 20th, Wild Ginger Seattle celebrates one of the truly exceptional winemakers of the world, John Duval, and his iconic Syrahs. This unique evening will feature a tasting of current and back vintages of Duval’s wines including John Duval Wines, Penfolds Grange, Sequel and Pangea. A four course meal prepared by Wild Ginger Chefs will conclude with the legendary 1998 Penfold’s Grange.
With 30 plus years of experience, starting at Penfolds in 1974 with the legendary Max Schubert, John Duval is one of the most sought after makers of Syrah in the world, producing elite Syrah across three continents. Working with the oldest Syrah vines in Washington for Allen Shoup’s Lang Shadow series, John’s Sequel has consistently garnered international accolades since its first vintage in 2003. Besides making Syrah in Chile (Pangea), Washington and Australia, Duval consults in Italy and Spain, providing a New World perspective in some of the oldest wine producing regions in the world.
