Hawker foods are ubiquitous throughout Asia and each country has their own specialties. They are commonly sold in open-air food markets where the clangs of cast iron woks mingle with the aromas of Thai noodles, Malaysian soups and Indian curries. It’s a place where grazing takes on a whole new meaning. Our menu already features some of the most popular hawker dishes like satay, laksa, and curry crab and we’re adding some new favorites like Singapore noodles, nasi goreng (fried rice topped with a fried egg), and coconut pancakes.
Everyone knows dim sum, the Cantonese teahouse tradition, but did you know the words charmingly mean, “to touch the heart”. Originally, teahouses sprung up to accommodate travelers journeying along the famous Silk Road. Some even believe that dim sum may have inspired the idea of "brunch" combining breakfast and lunch into one large midmorning meal. We want to continue this tradition at Wild Ginger at The Bravern. Stop by soon to enjoy a variety of small delicious snacks, a few pots of tea and some relaxing conversation with friends.
